'Charlotte Goes Out' Original Foil Collage (SOLD)
This is the original artwork, sold including the bespoke circular, backlit golden aluminium frame, measuring approximately 76cm in diameter, fitted with remote controlled, dimmable warm LEDs. The artwork is mounted on perspex and protected in front with anti-reflective, water white, UV protective clear glass. Please note the frame has a clear border which will therefore show the colour of the wall.
Produced on deckled edge Arches 100% cotton, 640gsm, cold pressed Aquarelle Watercolour paper.
Created using recycled gold chocolate and confectionery wrappers from brands including, Quality Street, Rolo, Munchies, Ferrero Rocher, Audrey's, Plamil Dairy Free, Temple Organic, Trebor Lemon Softmints, After Eight Munchies and Tesco Milk Chocolate Eclairs.
The first piece Lou entitled simply ‘Charlotte’ was a very large golden circle made with very similar golden chocolate and confectionery wrapper shades. It was also produced as a much smaller, but still very attractive limited edition, giclee print. ‘Golden Life’ was Lou’s second golden piece, a huge rectangular commission based on ‘Charlotte’. ‘Charlotte Goes Out’ continues to let the golden wrappers glow, especially with the addition of a gold frame and the warm (golden) LED backlighting.
