Commencing a series of colourful foil collage artworks inspired by the Pride Flag, it’s wonderful rainbow colours and their meanings.
‘Orlando’ is named as a tribute to the LGBTQ community in memory of the attack on the gay nightclub, Pulse, in Orlando, USA, 2016. This was particularly poignant for Lou as the 12 June is her birthday.
The foils used are recycled wrappers from Quality Street (red, orange and purple), Trebor Lemon Mint Softmint (gold) and Mentos Mint and Spearmint (green and blue). The approximately A1 (76cm x 56.5cm) deckled edge, 100% cotton paper is 640 gsm cold pressed Aquarelle Watercolour by Arches.
