This is the original artwork, sold including the bespoke frame fitted with anti-reflective, water white, UV protective clear glass.
‘Duncan’ is the third artwork in the Lou Pride Flag inspired series, using different coloured foil strips to reflect the rainbow colours and their meanings.
Red = Life, Orange = Healing, Yellow = Sunlight
Green = Nature, Blue = Harmony, Violet = Spirit
Named ‘Duncan’ as a tribute to the LGBTQ community in memory of the attack on The Admiral Duncan bar, in Soho, London, England, 1999.
The foils used are recycled wrappers from Malteser Bar (red) Quality Street (purple, yellow, green and orange) and Audrey’s Chocolates (dark blue).
The approximately A1 (76cm x 56.5cm) deckled edge, 100% cotton paper is 640 gsm cold pressed Aquarelle Watercolour by Arches.
