Audrey's Fantastical Shop Window

In celebration of the last weekend of the Brighton Festival and Artist’s Open House, Audrey's have commissioned loutheartist to do a fantastical shop window display.  Showcasing Audrey's award winning chocolate and launching an exclusive, wonderfully colourful range of loutheartist’s work made with recycled Audrey’s chocolate foils.

Friday 27th May 2016, at 1130am,
or view at your leisure throughout June 2016.

The fantastically magical window display will rival any top London store.   Featuring much chocolate, confectionary and an original artwork called ‘Audrey’ all set amongst tufts of long grass and brightly coloured oversized handmade paper flowers, with a flock of handmade paper birds flying overhead.
 
The display will be available throughout the month of June, so be sure to come and see it and enjoy some of the world’s best chocolates and confectionary.

Audrey's Made to Order Diptych

David and Keeley, the owners of Audrey’s, have commissioned loutheartist to install a Diptych called ‘Audrey-May’.   Audrey after the shop and May, as May is the month of loutheartist's launch at Audrey's. 
 
'Audrey-May's' two panels were specifically designed to sit beneath a run of two shelves behind the counter in Audrey's and to fit inside a pair of beautiful, hand finished, vintage frames. 
 
Using Arches 100% cotton, 640gsm, cold pressed Aquarelle Watercolour paper, with deckle edges, each panel follows the same colour pattern.  However, as the foil strips were hand cut, some pieces are of different thicknesses, making each panel individual, rather than an exact mirror copy of the other.
 
‘Audrey-May’ is exclusively made from chocolate foil wrappers saved by loutheartist over the 15+ years that Lou has been a regular customer at Audrey’s.
 
There, the wonderful team hand foil many chocolates, made in their own workshops, nearly every day all year round and have been doing so for over 65 years, supplying many other fine customers and some very discerning stores. 
 
Audrey’s have won many awards for their chocolate and continue to retain customer loyalty by using only the finest ingredients from around the world to make them simply irresistible.
 
‘‘Audrey-May’ diptych, is coming soon as a limited edition of 50 fine art finished giclee prints.
 
The prints are infused with a sweet, old-fashioned confectionary and chocolate fragrance to provide a light aroma, which, when inhaled, with closed eyes, allows you to imagine you are actually standing inside Audrey’s.   The prints are sold including a fragrance spray, so when you have yours framed you can continue to carefully scent the back of the frame and enjoy the light aroma, imagining you are actually standing inside Audrey’s, in Hove.
