ORIGINALS: loutheartist’s signature on this document attests that she has personally made, signed and named the original artwork. Original artworks should be displayed away from direct sunlight and fluorescent lighting as they can fade the colours. Do not hang in a bathroom or other area of high humidity. To keep the collage flat, it is recommended that the artwork is mounted directly behind glass, not in a box frame, as foil can be affected by different atmospheres and this may cause the collage to not look completely flat, after time. PRINTS: loutheartist’s signature on the certificate attests that she has personally inspected, approved, numbered and signed each print as an authentic reproduction of her original foil collage artwork. The production of each fine art giclee print utilises Arches 100% 310gsm cotton paper and archival pigmented inks engineered to last a minimum of 100 years. In addition, each print receives a textured UV coating. With proper care this fine art giclee print will be enjoyed for generations. |

Why have a deckled edge? Many fine art works, and indeed, hand-made, fine art finished, or digital prints deckle the paper edge. This once considered imperfection, as the byproduct of the hand-made paper-making process, is now used to make an original, or print, artwork appear even more interesting and valuable.
loutheartist likes to use heavyweight 100% cotton paper, made by Arches. This is the same paper used by many of the greats, including Van Gogh, Matisse, Chagall, Picasso, Braque, Miro, Dali, Warhol, Alechinsky, among others, as well as great art publishers over many years, and it comes with a deckled edge due to the traditional and recent blend of manufacturing processes used. |
